Anonymous nude modeling can be really erotic and it’s becoming more popular. Digital cameras and the rise of photo-blogging have turned what used to be a riskay pastime for the saucy couple into a porn-lite sensation.
It’s not quite as outré as making homemade porn with the family camcorder but it definitely counts as steppin’ out and, thanks to social networking, in no time at all your inner exhibitionist can find like minds and eyes to hang out with online, and no one is the wiser.
Taking good naked picture isn’t as easy as it seems though, especially decent pictures. Like any emerging art form it’s figuring out the rules as it goes. So here, by yours truly from the mind of a totally unknown and mostly naked (on the Internet) blogger are ten rules to live by.
1. Plan your project: Have an idea of what you’re trying to achieve. Are you wanting an erotic self portrait to remind yourself years from now how you looked? Are you taking a series across time to show yourself as sexy throughout your life? Are they to share with a special loved one? Are they just to look at yourself, perhaps to practice your allure, and to delete afterwards? Deciding who your audience is will help you decide what kind of photos you are after. Are you looking for tantalizing, or red-hot? Explicit or coy?
2. Take a few test shots to get an idea of poses, angles, lighting, and shadows. You can keep your clothes on for this part! You can hold the camera yourself or place it on a steady surface, such as a counter, a stack of books, or even the floor. A small bean bag is good for this. For good results, get a tripod.
3. Consider interesting spaces. Bracing yourself against a doorway can be sexy; so can lying on a table or sitting on the back of a couch. Get creative, and use the space, walls, and furniture around you.
4. Play around with angles! Most pictures are from straight-on and at eye level; don’t limit yourself to this. Position the camera below you, and take the picture upward. Position it above, or diagonally. Try putting a vase of flowers in the foreground, with your body showing between the stems in the background. Think outside the box! Different camera angles make pictures interesting, and they can really help you accentuate your best assets and hide your flaws.
5. If you want arty pictures, go black and white.
6. Start snapping photos. Use the self-timer function or a remote trigger (you will probably have to buy this separately). Check the preview screen to make sure you’re actually getting yourself and not just the floor or the ceiling in the photo. Try different angles and poses and different degrees of nudity.
7. Take off any personal items of jewelry (if you truly want to keep it anonymous).
8. Find a comfortable setting. Could be anywhere – bedroom, living room, bathroom, kitchen – as long as you feel comfortable there. Make sure it’s private.
9. Relax. If you feel uptight about posing for the camera try to relax or distract yourself. A natural smile can be very sexy. Try distracting or relaxing yourself by listening to familiar or interesting music. If your attire (or lack of it) is distracting you try doing a few mundane chores for a bit until you forget what you’re wearing (or not).
10. If you don’t like these results – delete them! Try again in a different room or outfit. There’s no magic combination.
